Merrick Manor Assisted Living Facility
Our goal at Merrick Manor is to provide each of our residents with an enjoyable, comfortable retirement living experience. Our staff offers personal, professional and caring assistance in a friendly and secure setting. We strive to support residents' independence as they make Merrick Manor their home.

We offer a wide range of activities at Merrick Manor. Our week begins on Sunday with chapel services provided by a local pastor. Some other activities available are bingo, music, van rides, card and board games, pet therapy, exercises, Recipe and Garden Clubs and Bible studies. A monthly activity calendar is distributed to each resident to keep them up-to-date on available activities.
Our single and double rooms with private baths are intended for individuals who are independent, but desire the conveniences and services offered in an Assisted Living facility (meals, housekeeping, transportation, activities and personal care). Merrick Manor also provides personal support care.
Bed linens are changed weekly and clean towels and washcloths are provided. Rooms are vacuumed and dusted and bathrooms are cleaned once a week.
Help with forms, menus, mail, etc. is available upon request.
Key lock mailboxes are located on the ground floor near the Manager's office.
Transportation services are available on a scheduled basis. Residents may also choose to drive their own vehicle or use the Central City Mini Bus.
Shopping services support is available upon request and private areas of our facility may be used for meetings or family gatherings.
Beauty and barber services are also available at Merrick Manor for our residents.
Three delicious home-style meals are served in our dining room and provided each day as part of the basic residency fee. Merrick Manor's kitchen abides by all State of Nebraska Food Code regulations. Meal plans are approved by a registered dietitian, who is also available to assess a resident's nutritional status as they move into Merrick Manor, and on an on-going basis. Supervision of diabetes, low-fat and low-salt diets is provided by Merrick Manor. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day.
Merrick Manor offers a flexible health services program which includes monthly blood pressure and weight monitoring, medication counseling and assistance with managing the medication regimen if required, foot care, health counseling, blood sugar testing support and well-being checks. The resident and nurse decide together which services are needed and how often they will be provided. Some services are included in the basic residency rate and others are on a fee for service basis.
