Updating Done
This past year brought some refreshing changes in the look of the hospital Thrift Shop in downtown Central City. With the help of a Central City Main Street Facade Improvement Grant, Litzenberg replaced upstairs windows, repaired and covered side windows and added a colorful awning to decorate the building. Our Thrift Shop continues to be very successful thanks to our donors and all of our volunteer workers!
The store accepts donations all year-round. The merchandise must be clean and saleable. Items include clothing of all sizes, household goods, jewelry, books (excluding textbooks and encyclopedias), knick-knacks, shoes, purses, curtains and drapes, craft items, toys, holiday items and decorations, magazines, records and much more. They also accept small appliances and small items of furniture. They cannot accept large furniture pieces such as couches, chairs, beds, mattresses, etc. The Thrift Shop will gladly give you a receipt for your donations for your tax records. . .just ask.
Stop in and look around. Leave your merchandise donations at our back door and shop all the bargains Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
