Litzenberg's Mammography Department
One Simple Test for a Healthier Future!
Mammography is an important part of the health plan for every woman over 40 years of age. American Cancer Society guidelines suggest every woman have a baseline mammogram between the ages of 35 and 40 and an annual mammogram after the age of 40.
Litzenberg's mammography tech, Cheri Underwood, is using new technology, called MammoPad(c) when performing this test. This new development is a soft foam pad that creates a warm cushion between the patient and the mammography machine. We are currently looking forward to the day when our Mammography equipment will be digital.
Cheri has 21 years' experience in the mammography field. Apppointments with her are available at Litzenberg on Tuesday AM/PM and Thursday mornings and occasionally on Fridays. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 308-946-3015.
